How To Apply Nail Lacquer
What is nail lacquer? Nail lacquer is another word for nail polish. It can be applied to your fingernails or your toenails to seamlessly match your dip powder manicure - that is why we call them Revel Mates! There are many pros to using lacquer: it's easy to apply, it does not require a UV light, and it's easy to remove so you can change your color as many times as you desire.
How to apply nail lacquer:
Step 1: As always, you're going to want to first prep your nails. Sanitize your hands and gently push back cuticles.
Step 2: Shape your nails to the desired shape with a 180 grit file.
Step 3: Using a lint free wipe, clean the nail with alcohol.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Revel Nail Lacquer Base Coat from cuticle to free edge.
Step 5: Allow Base Coat to fully dry.
Step 5: Using Revel Mates Nail Lacquer color of choice, apply a thin layer from cuticle to free edge. Be sure to cap the tips of the nail to ensure complete coverage.
Repeat step 5 again giving each layer time to dry in between. Each nail should have 2 layers of lacquer. (Pro Tip* – some colors may need a third layer to give a complete full coverage).
Step 6: Wait for your Revel Mates layers to fully dry.
Step 7: Apply a thin layer of Revel Nail Lacquer Top Coat from cuticle to free edge. Remember to cap the tips.
Step 8: Let dry.
Step 9: Apply Revel Nail Cuticle oil to the skin surrounding the nail to have a complete, nourished, and calcium enriched gel polish manicure!
When you want to remove the lacquer or change colors, simply apply some Revel Nail Acetone with a cotton ball and gently remove the color.
