Get the Look: 93rd Academy Awards

I’ll be resuming my role as Revel Nail’s Lady Whistledown (who doesn’t love a good cross over?) but instead of pairing Bridgerton characters with their matching Revel Nail Dip Powder shade, I’ll be pairing Celebrity Oscars outfits with their match!

Like I said in my original Bridgerton Blog, wearing fancy gowns isn’t exactly something we can do everyday, SO we’ll be bringing a little added luxury to your everyday with this ‘Get the Look’ blog.

First we have singer H.E.R., who won the Oscar for best orginial song. Her winning son “Fight for You” is featured in the film “Judas and the Black Messiah’. To get this pigmented look, dip into D460 Blue-Tine, who can pull a little more purple depending on lighting, making it the best way to channel this H.E.R.’s award winning energy into your every day life.

Next, with her record breaking win, becoming the first woman of color and the first woman of Asian descent to win the Oscar for best director, comes director or “Nomadland” Chloe Zhao. Zhao’s look can be recreated by dipping intoD233 Runway, matching her gown very closely, OR by dipping into the nude of your choice, creating a very subtle manicure.

Brightening things up a little bit, we have actor Colman Domingo from “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” sporting a bold, hot pink mani. Domingo sets the tone for Summer shade forecasting, to get ahead of the trend try adding D412 Xin Ciao to your next manicure to amp up your boldness.

But bringing the glitter, we’ve got Margot Robbie, a producer on the best picture nominee, “Promising Young Woman”. To bring the shine to your next mani, we suggest dipping into D167 Phoebe, with a gray base this mani helps amplify the wow factor.

Warming UP the glitter, Carey Mulligan, nominated for best actress in her role in “Promising Young Woman”. So, for Mulligan, I had a hard time selecting just one, but again, who doesn’t love options? If you’re interested in a holographic gold glitter, I’d dip into D479 Stolen! If you want just a pure gold glitter, you can never go wrong with D378 Prosecco.

Cooling things back down, we have Regina King, who directed “One Night in Miami”. Personally, King’s gown may have been my FAVORITE of the night. To channel her icy vibe, I’d recommend MR8 MVP, matching her blue shimmery fabric it can be worn as a beautiful shimmer or chromed over for a metallic look.

That concludes Revel’s Recap of the 93rd Academy Awards, dear readers. We’ll be keeping an eye out on if you’re wearing these shades, so keep us posted if you decide to channel these red carpet looks.
