Color of the Week - D101 Wishful

Wishful is a beautiful silver shimmer that is a great addition to any manicure. Much like silver jewelry, Wishful adds a crisp appearance when paired with other colors. It often brings out the cooler tones of colors such as D14 Danielle in the manicure below, which is perfect for the fall season. When winter rolls around, Wishful will shimmer on its own next to a red or blue such as D359 Civil or D247 Diva.

Linda, a fearless employee in Revel’s Quality Control department,received this Wishful manicure today. Linda loves the subtle shimmer that Wishful has – her mani doesn’t feel too over the top. Linda fell in love with the marble design, so we added this trend to her manicure. We used D14 Danielle, D74 Veronica, and D101 Wishful to top off this mani. Linda gave us a helpful tip for D101 Wishful, “Pair any pink piece of clothing or accessory with Wishful, particularly on New Year’s, and you’ll shine brighter than the rest!”

D101 Wishful was marbled with D14 Danielle and D74 Veronica to create a beautiful pink swirl. To get this look, fill a dipping mold tray about 1/3 of the way with the base color (D74 Veronica) and use a cuticle pusher to scoop D14 Danielle and D101 Wishful into the tray. Then, use a toothpick to swirl the colors to make the marble design. Apply Pro Base to the nail and turn the hand so that the fingernail is facing down and press your nail into the swirl (rather than the scooping motion you would normally use). Complete as usual.
