THE VERSATILE OMBRÉ

If you haven’t seen an ombré manicure on your Instagram or Facebook feed lately, where have you been? Ombré manicures have been all the rage lately due to its versatility. It can be used to add a little pizazz to a basic manicure, or it can be used to create a modest manicure. Either way, there will always be something extra on the tip of those ombré nails, and no matter what, it will always be eye-catching.

The most popular of the ombrés is the glitter ombré. It’s an attractive way to add a touch of glitter to a manicure without going overboard, like how D418 Opulent is used on the two middle fingers with D71 Scarlett next to D410 Hola. Or, glitter ombrés can be a full glitter takeover, which is always a favorite. Just like how D520 Tutu is paired with D20 Erica, to have that fabulous pink chunky glitter stand out. Glitter ombrés are the life of the party. Who doesn’t love glitter on their nails?

My favorite ombré style is all about that transition of color. Creating an ombré with another color is as easy as it is with glitter. This time, there’s just a smoother transition between the two. For example, D74 Veronica is used to transition into GC7 Limelight to create that bright pop of color. In the other manicure, GOR Classy March was used to transition to D7 Barbara to make the stunning dark manicure.

An up-incoming ombré style only uses one color, and I am obsessed. Creating an ombré with one color is actually quite simple. All you have to do is use D71 Scarlett to create a light, neutral base, and to transition to that wow color, like D563 Reflect use gold flakes to help make that transition. The gold flakes look even more perfect here due to the gold flakes used in D563 Reflect. It brings the whole manicure together.

As you can see, ombré manicures don’t always have to involve glitter, if you’re not a glitter fan, or if you do love glitter, you can make it your whole manicure. Ombré manicures are so adaptable and can change any typical manicure into a manicure that makes everyone ask for a how-to.
