Entrepreneur of the Year 2020
Once upon a time Revel Nail was merely a fantasy for Monica, Reed, Keeli, and Phon. Now, Ernst & Young has recognized our four founders as winners of the Entrepreneur of the Year®2020 Greater Philadelphia Awards.
The Suttons and Malones began as friends with a dream. The story of Revel Nail begins years and years ago when Monica and Keeli were simply childhood friends living in Pittsburgh. As they relocated to Philadelphia and became introduced to their now spouses, Reed and Phon, they began to conceptualize Revel Nail.
The idea of Revel Nail was born during a summer vacation in Delaware. With Phon’s manufacturing background in the nail industry, the couples had confidence they could turn their dreams into a reality.
And with years of late nights and hard work, they were right! It began as working from home after returning from their full-time jobs at night and on the weekends, but eventually the founders were able to make the transition to working at Revel Nail full-time. In April 2018, the small business grew into its newest 116,000 square foot facility in Blackwood, New Jersey, its permanent headquarters, and has grown to have over 75 employees.
Monica, Reed, Keeli, and Phon are honored to join the list of incredibly innovative alumni in the Entrepreneur of the Year® awards. This award is the world’s most prestigious business awards program for unstoppable entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneur of the Year® is a one-of-a-kind award that celebrates entrepreneurs through regional and national awards programs in more than 145 cities and in over 60 countries. Winners of this award will go on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year.
